Week 5 Vocabulary Words and Class Pictures

In order to help you learn our assigned vocabulary words and begin using them in your oral and written communication, each week you will find and post pictures that represent two assigned vocabulary words (I will assign the words to you).

In addition to posting a picture of each vocabulary word, your post on this blog page must also include the vocabulary word, its part of speech, and its definition. You can also include a sentence with the word in context, but the sentence isn't mandatory.

Here is my example of a post, using the vocabulary word immutable. Immutable, pronounced "im-mew-table," is an adjective meaning unchanging; the picture in this post shows the earth's immutable shape.

Sentence: The earth's shape, size, and position in the solar system are immutable; they will never change.



Instructions on Posting Your Picture and Assigned Vocabulary Words
You should use slideshare, a website that allows you to upload power point presentations and to add your voice to the slides, to show the picture, vocabulary word, and definition. Click on the link below to join slideshare.com and then follow the instructions below to complete this assignment.

1. Create a power point with two slides, add your pictures, the vocabulary words you are assigned, the definitions, and the part of speech.
2. Then, after joining slideshare.com, upload your power point onto slideshare. Your power point will become a "slidecast".
3. Returning to our class blog page, click on the "comment" button below this post, and paste the url of your slidecast project into the comment box with your name.
